Cobra King Kai

Cobra King Kai is built on one rule: reality before rank. We pressure-test movement like a boxing gym, and we build skill through Tang Soo Do structure — foundation, footwork, composure before speed or ego.

Our Foundations

Boxing gave us honesty. Traditional training gave us structure. Cobra King Kai blends both: boxing movement and timing layered onto Tang Soo Do fundamentals — with strong roots in older Kung Fu training principles: posture, rootedness, and clean mechanics.

Boxing Reality

Pressure, timing, distance, cardio, and composure. No fantasy confidence — just what holds up.

  • Footwork under fatigue
  • Angles, entries, exits
  • Range control and resets
Timing Distance

Tang Soo Do Structure

A disciplined progression that builds fundamentals and keeps ego in check. Belts (when used right) guide learning instead of inflating identity.

  • Stances and transitions
  • Basics, forms, fundamentals
  • Control before intensity
Discipline Progression

Kung Fu Roots

Rooted feet, stacked posture, and calm structure so power comes from alignment — not chaos.

  • Rooted stance without stiffness
  • Posture integrity and balance
  • Clean mechanics under pressure
Root Alignment

Reality first. Structure second.

Boxing taught me reality: the grind, the pressure, the honesty. Traditional dojo training brings structure and progression. Cobra King Kai combines both worlds — pressure-tested movement with disciplined fundamentals.

Our story

I trained in boxing first. Later, Inside U by Grandmaster Yu influenced how I understood movement, structure, and discipline in Tang Soo Do. Cobra King Kai was created to combine those ideas: boxing footwork layered onto a strong Tang Soo Do base — supported by older Kung Fu-rooted training principles.
